This was supposed to be a one-off. It was for fun and to see what Jack had learned at his drum lessons. We did not expect this to turn into anything. Boy, were we wrong.

• The Sabertooth EP

The want/need for The Sabertooth EP was discovered while recording our very first song. We had played and practiced many songs up to that point and when it came time to record we couldn't pick just one. Jack has always pushed himself on the drums and we saw this as an opportunity for him to continue to move forward. We recorded 10 tracks during the session abandoning a few along the way and a few others just didn't fit in to the albums flow.

This was the best vacation we had in a while. We went to Memphis for a while and hit up plenty of sites and then turned to Nashville. Nashville has plenty of stuff to do but mainly we were there to record at Third Man Records. These are two songs we did but could have easily done five more.

These are two songs that definently could have and should have been more. We'll see if we have more time next summer. But, right now Jack has a lot of soccer and I have a lot of work.
